At Boston Van Hire we like to keep things simple.
With the correct I.D. you can hire a van from us with no deposit. There are no hidden charges and the price we quote includes everything, apart from fuel.

We are conveniently located near the centre of Boston on the section of High Street without all the shops, but to help out we've also included a handy map link to help you FIND US.
You will need to have the correct documents with you when you come to hire your van, so please check carefully. Payment MUST be made by Credit/Debit card in Drivers Name. We no longer accept cash.
Breakdown cover is provided by RAC. If you need recovery, please call RAC – 0333 202 3000 and quote the registration number of the van.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO HIRE VAN
> National Insurance Number (to be able to obtain details from DVLA)
> Driving Licence
> Plus another form of identification, see below for acceptable proofs.
Due to insurance criteria, we cannot hire to professional gamblers, sport, entertainers, hawkers, street or market traders or modelling, students and unemployed.
UK Driving Licence.
> PLEASE NOTE - If you have 6 points for one driving offence or more than 6 points for any other motoring offences, we will need to refer you to our insurers before you take the vehicle. Please mention any points or bans on your licence at the time of booking to avoid any hold ups. If you are under 25 years of age please see terms at bottom of page.
> If your driving licence has the current address on, we need 1 additional form of ID from within last 90 days.
> If your driving licence does not have current address (I.E. they have moved and not had chance to change driving licence) we need 2 additional forms of ID within the last 30 days showing their current address.
> If you have had more that one accident in the past 3 years or had 1 accident costing more than £5000 or had insurance refused for any reason we will need to know. Please mention this at time of booking and we can normally sort this out for you.
European Licence.
> We need 1 form of ID within the last 90 days.
Company Hire.
> We need a company letter head and driving licence (If it’s a European licence – we don’t need any extra proof). Nothing else is required.
Acceptable Proofs.
> Bank Statement.
> Utility Bill – Gas, Electric, Water, BT Phone Bill (Not Sky, Virgin, Talk Talk etc).
> Credit Card Bill (Not Store Cards i.e. Argos, Dorothy Perkins Card).
> Payslip showing address.
> Council Tax (current year).
> Benefits Letter – Including Pension (DWP).
> Certificate (for Company Hire).
> Mortgage Confirmation and Solicitor confirmation of buying in last month
Non Acceptable Proofs.
> Passport
> Mobile phone bill
> Tenancy Agreement
> Log Book or vehicle tax reminder
PAYMENT BY DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD ONLY BY THE HIRER OF THE VEHICLE.
NO CASH PAYMENT WILL BE TAKEN FOR HIRE OF VAN.

● 24hr Hire is any 24 hour period within our opening hours.
● Saturday to Monday Hire is usually 9am Saturday to be returned before 9am the following Monday.
● Friday to Monday Hire is after 4pm Friday to be returned the following Monday before 9am. Vehicles may be collected earlier for an additional charge*
● Weekly Hire is any 7 days with collection and return within our opening hours.
● Bank holiday long weekends will be charged as a normal weekend with any additional days included in the standard rates.
● Basic Hirer Terms & Conditions. Full details are available at our office. We do not allow rental vehicles to travel outside the British Isles.
● Hire rates include VAT, drivers insurance and breakdown cover. No additional mileage charges.
● For vans and cars the minimum age for the driver is 21 years with a UK Driving Licence, 23 years old with an EU Licence. You must have be driving for at least 2 years. Maximum age of hirer under 75. Over 75 years of age will need referring to insurers.
● Drivers aged 21-22 must not have any points on licence. 23-24 years old only one minor conviction.
● Please refer to "Documents Required For Hire" above, for the latest Licence and ID requirements.

We cannot hire to professional gamblers, sport, entertainers, hawkers, street or market traders or modelling, students, unemplyed or Armed Forces under 25 years old.

Standard Insurance Excess £1000. Additional excess charges may apply if you are under 25 years of age or non UK/EU Licence.
